Access to Graduate Education: What's at Stake

Republicans in Congress passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, and now its consequences are putting essential careers out of reach for working people. By cutting access to federal student loans for graduate programs, this law is making it harder for working people to enter and stay in professional careers that our communities depend on.

ICE Funding and Accountability: What's at Stake

Republicans in Congress are pushing funding bills that would expand and empower U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement without the reforms and accountability our communities need. Across the country, ICE operations are tearing families apart, traumatizing children, and creating fear that reaches into schools, hospitals and workplaces. Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE): What's at Stake

Republicans in Congress have passed the SAVE America Act, a revamped version of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, which failed last year. This dangerous bill threatens the freedom to vote. Instead of strengthening our democracy, it creates unnecessary barriers that would make it harder for millions of eligible Americans to register and cast a ballot. Working people, seniors, students, military families and married women who have changed their names would be among those most affected. At a time when we should be expanding participation, this bill moves our country backward.
